Will JP School employees continue to get paid?
Yes. The Jefferson Parish School Board met to declare a state of emergency, and therefore all regular salaried and hourly employees with a pay assignment will continue to be paid during the closure. Employees should follow the district's reopening tiers to return to work based on their position and tier. If any of our employees have extenuating circumstances, they should contact their supervisor directly. We will work with employees on a case-by-case basis to assist them based on their needs.
