PE Teacher, ABIT committee

How do you stay organized?

  • “In my head, I wear different hats. For example, when I am teaching PE I put this imaginary hat on and that is my sole focus. I do that technique for every role I have in my life.”

How will your students remember you in your class?

  • “I think students will remember me as a teacher who cared for them. I want them to learn that all they need to do is try and that is the best thing they can do.”

What is the coolest place you have traveled to?

  • “London was by far the coolest. We traveled to Paris and London but London was just so amazing.”

Why is your role at your school very important?

  • “My role is very important because I don't just teach students how to play a sport, I can help them develop skills and learn how to be active. I also think as part of the ABIT Committee and other leadership roles, I can pour positivity through other coworkers and to pass down wisdom to help them in their separate roles.”

If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would it be?

  • “We all have our bad days but tomorrow is a new day, where we can make it a good day. I would tell my daughter growing up that if you can look at yourself in the mirror every day and you can say I did my very best today, that’s all you can expect of yourself.”
