Hurricane Zeta Update 11/1
JP Schools Family,
The last few days have been challenging for us all as we work to recover from Hurricane Zeta. Our community shines brightest when under moments of pressure, and it has been incredible to watch everyone come together to clear debris and check-in on neighbors.
While the majority of our schools were spared from major damages, there are still issues that need to be addressed before returning to school. We continue to assess and address issues with power, internet, and food supplies within our schools. Additionally, projections still have a portion of our residents without power at least until the end of day Monday. Because of these reasons, we have made the decision to close schools on Monday, November 2. Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day and a school holiday. If conditions allow, we will reopen our buildings on Wednesday, November 4.
For all of our families and employees still experiencing power outages and recovering from hurricane damage, our hearts go out to you. Please stay safe and take care.
