21st Century After-School Program      

Jefferson Parish Schools is currently applying for a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant to provide an after-school and summer program at William Hart, G.T. Woods, and Woodmere for the 2022-2025 school years.  The after-school program includes academic enrichment, STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), enrichment activities, cultural activities, life skills, and family engagement. In addition, this Monday through Thursday program will provide free snacks, a hot meal, and bus transportation for all students who live in the school district.  Students on a permit must provide their own transportation home. The summer program will include the same activities over a three-week period during June.

OUR VISION

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program will provide a safe,nurturing, and joy-filled environment.This program will help students develop positive relationships with peers and adults and will create a healthy blend of educational, recreational, and cultural activities.

  • To help students develop their talents and abilities
  • To create a healthy blend of education and recreation
  • To provide drug, bullying, and violence prevention education
  • To provide cultural and creative enrichment time
