District Following Special Safety Procedures for June 3 School Board Meeting
The Jefferson Parish School Board will meet Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the Administration Building at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey. Click here to view the agenda. In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, all attendees must wear a face covering and submit to a temperature check. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will not be allowed to enter. Additionally, in an effort to adhere to the 6ft social distancing guidance, the capacity of the boardroom and overflow rooms will be limited. No more than 75 members of the community will be allowed into the building.
Citizens who wish to participate in public comment can do so in person or via email. Public comments can be emailed to Gwen.Kerner@jpschools.org by Wednesday, June 3 at 5:45 p.m. Emailed comments will be read aloud into the record by a member of the school board and must be under the three-minute time limit for public comments. Please know that once the building reaches capacity, no other members of the public will be allowed inside. If capacity is reached, additional citizens wishing to comment will be asked to wait in the parking lot and exit the building after their comment.
