With the support of its employees, Jefferson Parish Schools was recognized June 22 as a Top 60 Most Generous Workplace by the United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA) at their annual meeting. School Board members Ricky Johnson and Diane Schnell were in attendance. Community partners are key to the district's success, and JP Schools partners with United Way to support the Jefferson Parish community.  

The UWSELA annual event included corporate recognitions, awards, new grant recipients and volunteer leadership representatives at its annual meeting of members. The sold-out event at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside celebrated the people, partners and programs that power UWSELA’s mission to eradicate poverty in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes.
