Thank you for your continued investment in our teachers, our children, and our schools. Jefferson Parish citizens voted to renew our millage dedicated to teacher pay and benefits. The “Yes” votes cast in this election mean more than a renewal of funds dedicated to teacher pay and benefits. They signify gratitude for the sacrifices our education community has made to prioritize in-person instruction and trust in the work we’re doing to identify what supports our children need to recover and progress.

Whether you voted in this election, shared resources with friends and family, or championed the work of our teachers, I’m grateful for your role in tonight’s final tally. Thank you from our teachers, administrators, support staff, board members, and community partners.

While our words of thanks are genuine, we know the best way to thank our community is to continue building a school system centered on true, long-term success. We are on the path. Let’s continue to move forward together.
