Hybrid High School Students to Return In-Person Five Days a Week
JP Schools Family,
As stated in Start Strong Jefferson, our goal has been to bring as many students as possible on campus for in-person learning. In response to steadily decreasing rates of COVID-19 in our community and schools, we are excited to announce that our hybrid high school students will transition back to in-person learning five days a week beginning March 29 using a staggered approach. This decision was made in consultation with our healthcare partners and based on multiple data points. The reported COVID-19 cases in our schools have consistently decreased every week since we returned from winter break. The broad participation in vaccinations has also added another layer of safety in our schools.
This staggered approach begins March 29 and allows for a smooth transition for students and employees:
- Grades 9 and 12 will return in-person five days a week beginning Monday, March 29.
- Grades 10 and 11 will return in-person five days a week beginning Wednesday, March 31.
- Virtual Jefferson will continue to be an option for families. Hybrid students who do not wish to return to campus 100% in-person can decide to attend 100% virtually. Families wishing to move to Virtual Jefferson should reach out directly to their school.
Thank you for your continuous support during this unprecedented school year. We look forward to seeing our high school students in-person more frequently on March 29.
