JP Schools Receives $20,500 Donation & Musical Instruments

The Jefferson Community Foundation collected musical instruments and donations to support students and schools whose band instruments were destroyed by Hurricane Ida. Along with Entergy, Gulf Coast Bank, The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and The Jefferson Business Council, they generously donated $20,500 and musical instruments to replace damaged band equipment. Superintendent Dr James Gray said, “The arts are important to giving our students a well-rounded education. We are thankful to JCF and their partners for their support and grateful to their commitment.”
