With the first day of school quickly approaching, Jefferson Parish Schools is making it easier for families to have their questions answered about bus transportation.

The district’s annual transportation hotline opened on July 31, 2023. The number to call is 504-349-8999. Operational hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. until August 25, 2023.

All schools have received transportation assignments. If families have not received that information, they may also contact their child’s school. Contact information for all schools can be found here.

The first day of school is Monday, August 7 for students in grades 1-8. Students in high school will participate in Smart Start, with more information, click here. Students in kindergarten and Pre-K start on August 14 and 15. That date varies by school. Kindergarten and Pre-K families should contact their schools for more information.
