JP Schools Speech and Hearing Team Honored as the Public School Program of the Year for Louisiana
The Jefferson Parish Schools' Speech and Hearing team was honored by the Louisiana Speech and Hearing Association at its annual meeting in June 2022 as the Public School Program of the Year for Louisiana.
The district's Speech and Hearing Services provide screening, interventions, evaluations and therapy to the over 50,000 students enrolled in the district and also those over 600 students enrolled in non-public settings.
This award recognizes the hard work and professionalism of the over 100 Speech Language pathologists, two audiologists, and five itinerant teachers of the deaf. It also recognizes our district staff members, including Suzette Perrin, Dr. Rosemary Kerrin, Felice Rankins, Jonell Martin, Leigh Anne Vogt, Ariane Dymond, and Nakiesha Owens.
