Mary Myers and Jenae Nunez, two of our talented High School Band students, will be performing with the Loyola Bourgeois Honor Band this Saturday, November 16th at 7:30pm in Roussel Hall on Loyola's Campus.Colonel John R. Bourgeois, retired director of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, is the artist-in-residence at Loyola University and guest conductor for the band. The purpose of the Loyola Bourgeois Honor Band is to provide two outstanding high school students from each area high school with a musically enriching experience performing with the Loyola Wind Ensemble under the direction of Colonel Bourgeois.
Roussel Hall is in the Communications/Music Building where the concert is being held and is located at the corner of Calhoun St. and St. Charles Ave. The Honor Band will perform in the second half of the concert, but we hope you will join the audience during the first half of the concert. The concert is free and open to the public, all are invited to attend.
