How do you build relationships?

• “I would say to let the student take over the conversation. They are an open book and so full of stories. I would ask their name, the languages they speak, and what they did for summer break to help break the ice.”

What’s the best advice you’ve been given about teaching?

• “Someone once told me to take it a day at a time. Some days are harder than others but we have to be patient with our students and with ourselves.”

If you could take your students on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

• “I would love to take them to Animal Kingdom because I personally love animals. It would be such a great experience to show the kids animals that they have never seen before.”

How do you think students will remember you and your class?

• “I joke with my students a lot and am invested in the things they like such as Pokemon. I think they will remember how fun I was.” 

What is the best thing about working at your school?

• “Everyone is here for each other. We are a team that values each other and supports one another. We have a great culture and environment throughout the school.”
