When you see Mrs. Pansy around campus congratulate her for being chosen as John Ehret's teacher of the year!
Being a great teacher doesn't come easy, but Ms. Pansy credits her colleagues for their hard work and constant collaboration, as part of her success. She says, "there is no way that you can earn this recognition without a strong network of support". Attending the University of Holy Cross is another key to Mrs. Pansy's success. She went on to explain, "the training and mentorship that I received there was crucial to becoming prepared for the classroom."
When she isn't working hard to ensure her students academic and social needs are being met; she is working with the dance team as they practice, perform and fundraise. She is also a district Teacher Leader Fellow. Mrs. Pansy is also working to start a literary club to give students at Ehret an outlet to express themselves through all types of writing.
"No matter what the media presents, or the community outside of Ehret believes; there are so many great students on this campus. I make sure that I form a bond of mutual respect and always play to their strengths. Many of our students never hear anything complimentary about who they are or what they do...calling out the things they do well is a great first step to building a report with my students" - Jasmine Pansy.
