Families interested in learning more about the Jefferson Parish Schools Advanced Study Academies are invited to attend one of the admissions information nights.

The first session will be on September 16 at Bonnabel Magnet Academy High at 2801 Bruin Drive in Kenner. The second session will be on September 19 at the JP Schools Administration Building at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey. Each session will last from 6-7 p.m.

Jefferson Parish families can apply for some of the top-performing public schools in the state starting September 23. That’s when the 2020-21 application window opens for the Jefferson Parish Schools Advanced Study Academies. The district will accept applications until October 22 at noon.

Applications and additional admissions information will be made available at jpschools.org/asa.

JP Schools ASAs are designed to expose the most highly capable students to a challenging, rigorous, and accelerated curriculum. The academies focus on high-potential students who are successful in gaining admission through the ASA admissions process. Successful candidates are challenged with opportunities in abstract thinking, problem-solving, and the use of higher-order thinking skills. Our academies employ a school-wide enrichment model, differentiated instruction, and use highly engaging project-based, hands-on instructional techniques.
