Holiday Guidance
JP Schools Family,
As we prepare for a safe and memorable holiday season, we’d like to share guidance from Ochsner Health System to minimize the risk of COVID-19 for our families and employees.
As outlined in our Start Strong Jefferson plan, we continue to practice COVID-19 mitigation strategies in our schools. As such, we conduct daily temperature screenings, require mask wearing, and provide frequent opportunities for handwashing. Our administrators, teachers, and support staff have been doing an incredible job instructing our students while adhering to our health and safety protocols. Delivering the best outcomes for our students in a safe environment remains our primary focus and responsibility.
We will continue to follow Louisiana’s reopening phases and are prepared for any phase. We are encouraged by our mitigation measures in place and will continue to utilize guidance from the Louisiana Department of Health and Ochsner to closely monitor our schools. At this time, we have no plans to close schools or go all virtual. Additionally, we would only close schools if deemed necessary by our state and local healthcare partners.
We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing holiday season.
