Through our new Jump Start After Hours program, students can acquire an IBC (Industry Based Certification), gain job shadowing experience and earn a stipend while working with certified instructors.

The Jump Start After Hours program is open to students who were enrolled in a CTE (Career and Technical Education) course in the spring of 2020 and unable to test due to COVID-19. The program has classes that take place over four Saturdays at campuses across the district. 

Each class has two certified instructors to train students during a four-hour session. Students are prioritized based on graduation needs. Students are paid a stipend for attending and for earning the IBC(s) associated with the course.    

The IBCs offered through the program are:

• Emergency Medical Responder
• Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design
• Guest Service/Hospitality and Tourism
• Autodesk Inventor
