Emonie says she stands out because she is polite, excels in school, and makes people feel included. She plans to become a scientist and work for NASA.
What do you enjoy most about coming to your school? I enjoy the staff and how they make me feel welcome. I’ve been here 8 years so I know everybody so it will be hard to leave next year. But leaving means that I have achieved what I needed to achieve so I am excited.
What is your favorite subject and why? My favorite subject is ELA because I do exceptionally well. I love to read. I love reading dramatic books.
Why is it important to do well in school? It is important to do well in school and make good grades because it helps you do better in life. The more you know the more you grow.
Why do you think you were chosen for this spotlight? What makes you stand out? I stand out because I study, I make good grades and I do my best to be polite and make people feel included.
What are your plans for the future? What do you want to be when you are older? I plan to move on to highschool and hopefully start taking college courses so I can graduate early. I plan to become a scientist and working for NASA is my dream!
What is something about yourself you could brag about, but usually don’t? I can brag about my dancing. I am very good at dancing and theatre.
Who is your favorite music artist/song and why? I listen to alot of genres but right now I like a K-Pop idol group.
What is your favorite season? Why do you like it? Winter is my favorite season because of my birthday! I love the cold and being wrapped up in my blanket with hot cocoa.
What is your favorite emoji? My favorite emoji is the red heart with the flames.
What is your must-have app? Wattpad. It is basically a book app full of books.
