How do you build relationships with students?

I try my best to make sure rewards and books inspire their interests, so they know I care about what they like! I will also write individualized notes to let them know I see the good things they do.

Is there a song that you have all of the lyrics memorized?

I can confidently say I know all the lyrics to the Hamilton soundtrack!

What makes a "good day" at school?

Any day where I feel like every child is engaged in the lessons. I love getting to see their faces light up when they finally get it. 

How do you think students will remember you and your class?

I think they will remember the fun activities I plan for the class to make my lessons more engaging. I also think they will remember the caterpillars we raised as a class!

What is your favorite thing about teaching in a public school?

My favorite thing about teaching in a public school is the diversity of my class. I love getting to learn about their cultures! It leads to many compelling discussions.
