The U.S. Department of Education announced the 61st class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, recognizing Vaishnavi Kumbala of Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies (Metairie) as one of the nation’s most exceptional high school seniors for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.
