Jefferson Parish Schools Advanced Study Academies (ASAs) are designed to expose the most highly capable students to a challenging, rigorous, and accelerated curriculum. The academies focus on high-potential students who are successful in gaining admission through the ASA admissions process. Please note that Pre-Kindergarten enrollment at our ASAs is not tuition-free.

In order to be eligible for ASA admissions:

  • All students must meet age and residency requirements.
  • Students entering grades 6-12 must meet a core GPA requirement of 2.5 for their previous two years in school.
  • All students must score in the 85th percentile or higher on the ASA admissions test.

The ASA New Resident Application Window is now open.

Only students who meet the definition of a New Resident are eligible to apply. A New Resident is defined as:

  • A student who has relocated to Jefferson Parish from another state, country, or Louisiana parish and can provide proof of prior residency and current residency in Jefferson Parish.

Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted within 15 calendar days of the start of the school year or within 15 calendar days of the student's enrollment date in Jefferson Parish Schools, whichever is later.

Applicants must provide all required documentation to verify eligibility. Students who do not meet the New Resident criteria are not eligible to apply during this application window.
