The application dates for NEW RESIDENT (ACT 853) under the Louisiana Department of Education Public School Choice program will be announced soon.

To apply as a NEW RESIDENT, the student must be enrolled in a Jefferson Parish Schools school at the time of application.

Please note:

• Only one application per student will be reviewed.

• Additional applications for the same student will not be considered.

Louisiana School Choice (R.S. 17:4035.1) provides choice options to families if the school their child was most recently enrolled in, or would otherwise attend, received a school performance letter grade of “D” or “F” for the most recent school year.
