2026-2027 Attendance Boundary Changes

As part of the 2023 Infrastructure and Efficiency Plan, the School Board approved the closure of George Cox Elementary once the new Bonella A. St. Ville School is complete. The new school is scheduled to open for the 2026–27 school year, which means George Cox will remain open through the end of the 2025–26 school year. For the 2026-2027 school year, the new Ralph J. Bunche-George S. Washington School will also expand to a PK-8 school. Consequently, adjustments to the school attendance zone for T.H. Harris are necessary.

Attendance zone changes will accompany this step, and proposed maps will be available to view below. These proposed changes will not take effect until the 2026–27 school year.

Jefferson Parish Schools is considering a proposal to consolidate Isaac Joseph Elementary School and Stella Worley Middle School on the Stella Worley campus. Because this proposal would require adjustments to current attendance boundaries, maps of the proposed boundary changes are available below. These maps will be discussed at the public hearing on Wednesday, December 3, at 5 p.m. at the Central Office, followed by Board consideration of the consolidation at the December 3 Board Meeting at 6 p.m. that same evening. If approved, the district will begin detailed planning to support a smooth transition for the 2026–2027 school year.
