Athletics at Thomas Jefferson has been very competitive and our teams have made several playoff appearances. We have also had individual State Champions in the sports of Gymnastics, Swimming, and Wrestling.

In order for a student to tryout for an athletic team, they must have a valid physical and medical history form turned in to the Athletics Office. This must be on the official LHSAA Medical History Evaluation form that can be obtained in the front office or you may print the form below.

Once a student makes a team, they will need to register with FamilyID.com and pay a $25 Athletic Fee. This fee is used for general athletics maintenance, end of year awards, and various administrative items purchased throughout the year.  Please see the Athletic Director, Coach Emily Cormier, to make your payment or you may pay online at JPSchools.SchoolCashOnline.com.

  • Athletic Physicals

Athletic Physicals will be provided by Ochsner this Saturday, April 24, at 8:00 - 9:30 am. The physicals will be held at the Ochsner Sports Medicine Clinic at 1221 S Clearview Pkwy (Elmwood).

Cost of physicals is $15 and must be paid in cash (exact amount) at the door.  Money made from these physicals will be donated back to the school to offset the cost of athletic training supplies.

Please note that physicals are needed for spring and summer workouts, so please check the date of your last physical to be sure it is not expired or will not expire soon.  The physical is good for 13 months from the date listed on the bottom of the physical.

It is not required to attend the physicals through Ochsner, it is just a convenient way to get a thorough exam from Sports Medicine Professionals.

If you decide to attend, you will need an LHSAA physical form  https://www.lhsaa.org/siteuploads/editorimg/file/LHSAA%20Medical%20History%20Evaluation%20Form.pdf

signed by a parent with the top of the form (Medical History) completely filled in and $15 cash.

    Lily Van

Lily Van has been named to the prestigious LHSAA Academic All-State 2021-2021 Cross Country Team. This particular award acknowledges the students who have achieved and maintained the highest GPA among all athletes during their academic career while participating in varsity high school athletics. Lily has maintained straight "A"s at Thomas Jefferson Academy and is a wonderful ambassador for all of our sports programs.

  • Family ID

The Thomas Jefferson Athletic Department requires an online registration process for all athletes.  This online registration eliminates many forms that are required for athletic participation.

This year, the district is requiring all athletes and parents to complete a COVID-19 Waiver.  This waiver is included on FamilyID.

FamilyID must be completed BEFORE a student can participate in any tryouts, conditioning or practices for any sport.

    The website is www.familyid.com

In addition to the online registration, all athletes must have an up to date physical turned in to the athletic office and also pay a yearly, non refundable $25 Athletic Fee.  This fee can be paid by cash or check to Coach Cormier (Athletic Director) or on the new JP School Cash Online system.
