Mission & Vision
-
Our mission at Livaudais is to provide opportunities for all students to achieve academic excellence through engaging and challenging work and to provide a high quality learning environment which assures that every student succeeds.
History
Livaudais Middle School was originally named Terrytown Middle School, but was soon renamed after one of Terrytown’s first homeowners in the community, Mr. Trudeau B. Livaudais. Livaudais opened in 1969 as a middle school comprised of grades 6, 7, and 8. It was converted to a junior high school, grades 7, 8, and 9, in the fall of 1978, and then converted back to a middle school in 2004.

Livaudais Middle School is destined for amazing things in 2020-2021.
The gifts and talents of our students combined with your dedication and passion allows us to position ourselves to strive for excellence. Excellence is not a result of a good intention or clever slogan. It is not a value that is easily achieved. It comes from a strong desire to imroved how we do things when we see something we can do better. We will work hard to ensure that Livaudais Middle School is recognized as a school that expects its students and teachers to perform at high levels. This year we will "Level Up!"
