Mission & Vision
Gretna Middle School is a public middle school in Gretna, LA serving students in grades 6-8. Gretna Middle offers students a secure, nurturing, and academically engaging environment serving a diversity of students. Gretna Middle believes in educating the whole child providing its students with top technology such as Promethean Boards, computer labs, mobile computer labs, and Library research databases. Gretna Middle’s certified teaching staff integrates Web 2. 0 resources focused on the Common Core State Standards in order to prepare students to become college and career ready.
Gretna Middle School’s Vision
Gretna Middle School and its staff will work collaboratively to ensure all students succeed. Placing the highest priority on reading, writing, and math instruction will support consistent student achievement so that all students attain grade-level or higher performance levels annually, as measured by bench marking data and the PARCC Assessment. Partnerships across all grades will sustain student success so that all students will score proficiently in all core subjects and gain the knowledge required for success in higher education and the workplace.
