Jefferson Summer BridgeJune 8 - 30, 2021
Our goal is to provide students with the learning they need to be successful. Due to school closures in March 2020 and pandemic-related learning disruptions, students may have experienced learning losses. This year, our teachers, support staff, and administrators have stepped up to meet our students where they are and provide quality teaching and learning. However, it was important that we continued to provide accelerated learning opportunities to students this summer.
Jefferson Summer Bridge was designed to provide targeted groups of students with accelerated learning and growth during the summer months in a fun learning environment. The full day program included a combination of math and ELA acceleration, enrichment opportunities to develop the whole child, and support for students’ social and emotional needs. More than 4,200 students in grades PreK-7 participated in the first year of programming. The teachers and leaders at our schools know their students best, so schools across our district were cohorted to create a community approach to planning and implementiation.
High School summer programming was also available. See here for more information.
