Testing Office

The testing office is a part of the district’s strategic initiatives unit. The testing office is responsible for administering, supervising, and coordinating the state and district assessments. The office ensures that all aspects of testing process are conducted with integrity. The testing office also assists families interpreting test results, as well as answering other test-related questions. The testing office coordinates:

  • State testing
  • Placement tests
  • Proficiency exams
  • Home study
  • Accountability processes

School System Assessment Calendar and Act 674 Support

Use this calendar to see statewide assessments Louisiana public school students are required to take during the school year. The calendar includes testing windows, estimated testing time, and the law or policy that requires each assessment.

This calendar includes assessments required by federal law, state law, or rules of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), as well as optional assessments commonly administered. Please visit your school system's website to learn more about assessments required by local systems.

Home Study

The Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education has approved the home study program which allows students to be taught or tutored at home.
