School Safety

The Department of School Safety promotes the protection from violence, bullying, harassment, substance use. Our department also provides our students, employees and stakeholders the necessary information, best practices, resources and training in natural disasters and potential hazards before, during and after any possible emergency that may occur on or near campus or school events.

Jefferson Parish Schools District Emergency Response Plan

Please email the Department of School Safety for viewing access to the district emergency response plan.

School Emergency Response and Drill Reporting 

All mandatory emergency response documentation and drill reporting forms have been updated for the 2024-25 school year. To access, complete and submit drill reporting forms, you will need to be logged into your Jefferson Parish Google Drive account. Charter school will need to request access through Google Drive.

Crisis Prevention Institute - Employees required by your school to take the training course through please contact Kerri Cianciminio, in the Department of School Safety for access to the required on-line course.

Violence Prevention/Substance Abuse Education Component

Jefferson Parish Schools and Charters requiring students to attend the mandatory intervention for either Violence Prevention Program or Substance Abuse Educational Component will need to register the student using the Google Registration Form. Once the form is submitted to the Department of School Safety, the parent and school will receive an email with the assigned class date and time.
