•  ASA Admissions for the 2020-2021 School Year – Phase II

     

    The application window for admissions testing for remaining openings in the Advanced Study Academies for the 2020-2021 school year will open at 7:30 am on Monday, June 1, 2020 and close at 5:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2020.

     

    Applications will become available online at jpschools.org/asa beginning June 1, 2020 at 7:30 am.

     

    Applications and required documents* must be submitted online.

     

    During the Phase II application window, applications will only be taken for

    • grade levels and academies with remaining openings
    • students who did not test during the Fall 2019 admissions window

    *Required Documentation to Qualify for ASA Admissions Testing

     

    All Applications

    • Parent’s ID
    • Parent’s current proof of residency in Jefferson Parish
    • Student’s birth certificate

    Applying for Grades 4 and 5:

    • A copy of the student’s most recent report card must be attached.

     

    Applying for Grades 6th through 12th

    • Report cards

    The students last two school years final (end of year) report card. All final course grades in reading, English, math, science, AND social studies courses must be a “C” or higher.

    • Standardized Test Scores:
      • Standardized test scores with percentiles from the 2018-2019 school year. The overall composite score is at or above the 85th
      • If the standardized test submitted does not report a composite score, scores in English and math must each demonstrate a minimum score of 85th percentile in order to move on to admissions testing. OR
      • 2018-2019 school year LEAP scores. The student must score a minimum of Mastery in both English/Language Arts and math. OR
      • Qualifying 2018-2019 school year standardized test scores from another state or country.
