• Move that title of “Band Director” be given to K-8 teaching employees and that they receive the middle school band director stipend if they provide students with opportunities to participate in band activities that include co-curricular and/or extra-curricular activities such as marching band, concert band, pep band, jazz band, soloists, ensembles, and other instrumental music groups. Also, in addition to in-class instruction, to be entitled to receive the middle school band director stipend, they must plan, coordinate and execute after-school rehearsals, music selection, and performance opportunities, and conduct instrument inventory.
