What We Do
The Department of School Safety is here to assist with any questions or concerns involving Crisis Management, Discipline, CPI, Safe Schools and Crossing Guard Training, School Resource and Detail Officers.
Emergency Preparedness
is a central component of comprehensive School Safety. The most important consideration in both Emergency Preparedness and School Safety efforts is the health, safety and welfare of the students and staff. A comprehensive Emergency Plan places a strong emphasis on prevention using strategies that range from building design to discipline policies and programs that improve school climate.
School safety
is defined as schools and school-related activities where students are safe from violence, bullying, harassment, and substance use. Safe schools promotes the protection of students from violence, exposure to weapons and threats, theft, bullying, and the sale or use of illegal substances on school grounds.
