    As a Thomas Jefferson Academy student, it is recommended that you take the PSAT (Pre-SAT) test each year from the 9th through the 11th grade.  This standardized test is designed to parallel the SAT test.  It includes an excellent career inventory and an excellent practice test for 9th and 10th grades, as the PSAT counts only in the 11th grade year for National Merit Scholarship awards.  For more information on this scholarship opportunity, please visit National Merit Scholarship.

     

    Your homeroom teacher will collect $17 from you beginning October 12 and continuing until October 23rd.  You may also pay the fee online at School Cash OnlineThere are no makeups and no refunds.  If you elect to take the test but do not pay the fee by October 23, 2020, the fee will become a financial obligation.

     

    The PSAT Student Guide gives all the particulars involving the PSAT test and includes a practice test.  It is highly recommended that you read the entire book, take the practice test, and share all information with your parents.  The hybrid students receiving the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide in homeroom.  If you are a virtual student, you can view the guide at:

    Copies of the booklet for virtual students are also available at school.  Contact the front office and they will supply you with one.
