District 3: Tiffany Higgins-Kuhn
Tiffany Higgins-Kuhn has strong ties to Jefferson Parish Schools and the West Bank. She graduated from Fisher Middle-High and her children attend JP Schools. She feels it is her civic duty to help students and teachers reach their goals. Whether it's attending countless events at schools across the Parish, engaging families in person and on social media, or rolling up her sleeves and volunteering on our campuses, Higgins-Kuhn is a true student-first advocate for JP Schools.
Before her time on the School Board, Higgins-Kuhn had a long history serving our schools as a parent. She was an active member of the JP Schools Parent Advisory Council. At the school level, she is responsible for starting the parent organization at her alma mater, Fisher Middle-High, and was vice president from 2014-2017. Higgins-Kuhn was also influential in acquiring a digital marquee for the school, which improved communication with families and the community and helped promote the success of kids and educators. Higgins-Kuhn is the 2011 Leo Kerner Jr. Elementary Volunteer of the Year and served as president of the school’s parent organization from 2012-2017. She helped Kerner Elementary get two age-specific playgrounds.
Higgins-Kuhn graduated from the University of New Orleans with a major in Hospitality Management. She worked her way up through the hospitality industry to become a general manager. She currently oversees the sales and promotional operations of her family business, Higgins Seafood.
