Mrs. Lora Pertuit

Master Teacher

I’m a military wife and mother of a 13-year-old son. I’ve been in the field of education and different teacher support roles for over 17 years, holding several different positions within Jefferson Parish Schools, such as 2nd -5th grade classroom teacher, reading interventionist, Teacher Leader Fellow (TLF), and Master Teacher (MT). I earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from L.S.U. and I’m an alumna of Bridgedale Elementary. I’ve embraced the Tier 1 curricula; teaching and modeling lessons for Guidebook, CKLA, and Eureka.  I’ve also worked with our district ELA Coordinator workgroups to develop the scope and sequence and supplemental cold read assessments for 5th grade Guidebook. I’m looking forward to working with a new group of teachers, students, and administration to continue to make a positive impact on student achievement. I consider myself to be a life-long learner and will take this new opportunity at Bridgedale Elementary to continue to grow as both an educator and instructional leader.
