Mrs. Lora Pertuit

Assistant Principal

I’m a military wife and mother of a nine-year old son. I’ve been in the field of education and different teacher support roles for over 16 years, holding several different positions within the Jefferson Parish School System such as 2nd -5th grade classroom teacher, reading interventionist, Teacher Leader Fellow (TLF), and Master Teacher (MT). I earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from L.S.U. and I’m an alumna of Bridgedale Elementary. I’ve embraced the Tier 1 curricula; teaching and modeling lessons for Guidebook, CKLA, and Eureka.  I’ve also worked with our district ELA Coordinator workgroups to develop the scope and sequence and supplemental cold read assessments for 5th grade Guidebook. This year I will serve as a Master Teacher and Content Leader Fellow for 3-5 Guidebooks. I’m looking forward to working with a new group of teachers, students, and administration to continue to make a positive impact on student achievement. I consider myself to be a life-long learner and will take this new opportunity at Bridgedale Elementary to continue to grow as both an educator and instructional leader.
