Family and Community Engagment

What We Do

  • The department of Family and Community Engagement builds partnerships between parents, educators, businesses and the community to share in the responsibility of student development. These vital partnerships supplement student learning through enrichment programs, volunteering and sponsorship.

We believe every student is “our” child. If you are interested in making a positive impact in the lives of children, if you are a business looking for a corporate responsibility opportunity/sponsorship, or if you are a parent/organization wanting to volunteer, we would like to partner with you.

We have many engagement opportunities available for parents, educators, businesses and community stakeholders. Click each link to learn more. If you have questions, please contact the district's Family and Community Engagement Coordinator.

  • LDOE

Louisiana Believes starts with the premise that all children can achieve high expectations and that parents know best how to prepare their children to succeed in college and careers. The Louisiana Department of Education and Jefferson Parish Schools' goal is to empower families with information so you can decide the best education for your child.

Below are links to LDOE pages for additional parent and family engagement resources.
