The communications department of Jefferson Parish Schools is dedicated to delivering clear, timely, consistent, and engaging communications that educate and inform JP Schools employees, parents, and the overall community about the district’s efforts to provide every child in Jefferson Parish with the education they deserve to succeed in life and make our world a better place. The communications team oversees internal and external communications for JP Schools, including media and press, online communications, and video production.

Branding

Our brand reflects our true identity—a bold school district leading a movement that is devoted to the goal of strengthening Jefferson Parish and Louisiana. Its basic elements—logo, color palette, and fonts—are the building blocks for consistently and effectively communicating who we are and our impact.

JP Schools Mobile App

The latest news and information from Jefferson Parish Schools is available on smartphones with a mobile app. The mobile app is available in the online iTunes and Google Play app stores for free.

Emails and Automated Messages (Robo Calls)

JP Schools publishes a monthly eNewsletter, The Jefferson Journal, featuring the latest district updates and school highlights. In addition, the communications team occasionally sends district-wide emails and automated messages to parents and community members to share announcements and emergency notifications that affect all schools and students.

JPS-TV

JPS-TV documents and showcases all elements of the school system from board meetings and special events to everyday activities happening in our schools. In-house productions air on our local access COX cable channel 8 and AT&T U-verse channel 99 (select Jefferson Parish TV/JP Schools TV) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Select productions are available online on the JPS-TV page or through the JP Schools channel on Vimeo. The studio can be reached at 504-349-7955.
