What We Do

The Jefferson Parish Schools Tuition Reimbursement Program is a federally funded program designed to provide tuition assistance to JP Schools teachers. The Tuition Reimbursement Program is applicable for the following:
- Courses to acquire certification in core academic subjects in which he/she is teaching
- Courses to acquire certification in areas of critical need (ESL, Math, Science, English, and Special Education not including Gifted and Talented)
- Courses for non-certified teachers related to content area to acquire certification in the area in which he/she is teaching
- Praxis in elementary or secondary core academic subjects in which he/she is teaching or in an area of critical need
All JP Schools teachers interested in receiving Tuition and/or Praxis reimbursement must hand-deliver a Tuition and/or Praxis Reimbursement application to the Recruitment & Selection team in the Office of Human Resources during the application window. . Please note: The teacher must submit separate applications for Tuition reimbursement and Praxis reimbursement.
Human Resources hosts an informational meeting on Tuition and Praxis Reimbursement every semester at Jefferson Parish Administration Building (501). The meeting dates are listed below:
Fall meeting date for Spring session: November 3, 2022
Spring meeting date for Summer session: April 20, 2023
Please read the instructions prior to completing the application. The Recruitment and Selection team will accept applications Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
