What We Do
The Purchasing Department’s function is to procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services which are used throughout the School System. These commodities are obtained by following the laws under Louisiana Revised Statute Title 38 and the Jefferson Parish Schools policies and procedures. This Department also assists with questions and concerns which arise from schools or departments relative to their purchases. Assistance is also provided in the use of the automated requisition system found in Business Plus (IFAS).
