    Tracie Bruno- Principal

    Tracie Bruno graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology then received an Elementary Education Grades 1-8 degree from the University of New Orleans. She later received her Master of Education degree from Northwestern State University. With nearly 24 years in Jefferson Parish, Mrs. Bruno has served as classroom teacher, Academic Dean, Master Teacher, and principal. She is thrilled to be joining the Chateau family as principal. In her free time, She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Mrs. Bruno’s daily purpose is to accept the responsibility to educate all students, be held accountable for all students, and take ownership in the excellence of all students to succeed in college and life. All means all!

    Erika Russell- Assistant Principal

    Erika Russell graduated from The University of New Orleans in 2015 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Secondary Education of Social Studies and in 2018 from The University of Holy Cross with her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. She joined the Chateau Estates family in 2022 as the Assistant Principal, after being a teacher and Master Teacher in Jefferson Parish since 2015. Mrs. Russell has served and continues to serve on committees for Jefferson Parish to improve the education of students across the district. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and dog either traveling or trying new restaurants. Her goal for students is for them to leave everyday with a new piece of knowledge and a smile on their face.

    Katelyn Rodriguez- Dean of Student Services

    Katelyn Rodriguez was born and raised on the Westbank of New Orleans. She attended the University of New Orleans where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business and Sociology. Shortly before graduating, Katelyn realized she was interested in teaching. She began her career teaching ESL at Grace King High School in 2016 while attending the University of Holy Cross for her teaching certification. Mrs.Rodriguez holds certifications in English as a Second Language as well as a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Holy Cross. Mrs. Rodriguez is also fluent in Spanish. She is in her seventh year teaching and is excited to be at Chateau Elementary. When she is not at school, she is usually busy running after her two toddlers or hanging out with her husband.

    Renee Pierce - Account Clerk 

    Renee Pierce is native of New Orleans . She attended St. Pius X Elementary School and Mount Carmel High School. She then went on to attend UNO where she received a bachelor's degree in Sociology. Renee, now lives in Metairie and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets.She enjoys traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time in Bay St. Louis on most weekends. This will be Renee's 5th year at Chateau Estates and 2nd year as the account clerk. Renee loves her Chateau family and looks forward to another great year.

    Dayanira Flores- General Clerk

    Miss Flores attended Grand Canyon University and received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English in 2017. She has been at Chateau Elementary School since 2019 as an ESL Paraprofessional. Miss Flores is fluent in English and Spanish. She is currently studying to become fluent in Portuguese. Ms. Flores helps students attain proficiency in English and education.

    Heidi Alexander- Master Teacher

    Heidi Alexander graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She has spent her 20 year career in Jefferson Parish School System where she has been a classroom teacher, a STEM Lead teacher, and Master teacher. She is beyond excited to be joining Chateau Elementary as a Master teacher for the 2023-24 school year. In her free time, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, crafting (or looking for projects on Pinterest), reading, playing board games, and going to the beach. She is looking forward to an amazing school year!

    Angela Koch- Master Teacher

    Angela Koch graduated from American University in Washington DC in 2001 with a degree in Political Science and Education.  She then earned her Master’s in Education from New York University in New York City in 2003.  She started teaching with Jefferson Parish Schools in the Fall of 2003 and just completed her 20th year with the school system.  Mrs. Koch has served as a teacher, Literacy Coach, Mentor Teacher, ESL Coach, and Master Teacher.  She earned her National Board Certification in Literacy in 2009.  Mrs. Koch enjoys spending time with her husband and 13 year old son as well reading, baking, and traveling.  She is thrilled to start her role as Master Teacher at Chateau Estates and looks forward to working with students to help them achieve their fullest potential.

    Ashley Deeks

    Ashley Deeks was born in Mobile, Alabama and has lived in Metairie for most of her life. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Orleans in 2008. This is her sixth year teaching Special Education pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Teaching has always been her lifelong dream. Ashley is the chairperson for the United Way campaign. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and five dogs including a Mastiff and Great Dane. She also loves the outdoors and art and crafts. Ashley is excited about the new school year.

    Kyle Radish

    Mrs. Radish grew up in Ohio and moved to New Orleans in high school. Subsequently, she graduated from both NOCCA and Ben Franklin high schools. Because of these experiences, she is a firm believer in the vital importance of excellent public education. She has been teaching since 2003 and has been at Chateau Estates since 2019. She has a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a Master's degree in Education in Early Childhood Education, with a concentration in Gifted Education. She attended both UNO and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Mrs. Radish enjoys exploring nature with her sons and husband, baking, and reading long novels.

    Jennifer Sutton

    Jennifer Sutton graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a BS in Early Childhood Education.  She earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.  She has graduated from multiple leadership programs such as ReNew’s Aspiring Leader Program and Leading Educators.  She has spent decades working with young children as well as coaching other early childhood educators. Jennifer was born and raised in Jefferson Parish, where she currently resides with her husband and two sons who attend Jefferson Parish Schools.  She loves to work with curriculum and materials and is always looking for the best way to reach each student.  She is passionate about learning and books and loves to give books away.  Jennifer can’t wait for a fantastic school year at Chateau Estates!

    Katelyn Blanke- Teacher Leader Fellow

    Katelyn Blanke graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. She graduated with the honor of Summa Cum Laude and received the Department of Curriculum and Instruction Faculty Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Education Major and the Academic Excellence Award. Katelyn completed her student teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary and has been teaching for 9 1/2 years. Currently, Katelyn is the Kindergarten department chair and a member of the school's Instructional Leadership Team. Katelyn enjoys watching her students learn and grow as they discover new things throughout the school year. She is married and has a beautiful baby boy named Wesley. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys being with her family and friends, reading, gardening, playing volleyball, going bike riding, and playing board games.

    Virginia Guise

    Virginia Guise graduated from McNeese State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She has taught Pre-K-3 thru 5th grades for the past 20 years. She loves teaching Kindergarten at Chateau Estates Elementary. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, cooking, and visiting with friends..

    Chateau Estates School Teacher of the Year 2007

    Jennifer Wilson graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary for nearly twenty four years. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her husband, and their daughter. She also loves to read, travel and spend time at her family camp.

    Anne Ehrhardt

    Anne Ehrhardt grew up in Metairie, and attended Alice Birney, J.D. Meisler, and Grace King schools. She graduated from the University of New Orleans, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education/ Early Childhood. This is her 23rd year teaching and her 6th at Chateau Estates. For 17 years of her teaching career, she has taught first grade and currently serves as the first grade chair. When she is not in the classroom, she is enjoying time with her family and friends. She loves to read and makes it her top priority to create a love of reading in her students.     Blair Gonsoulin

    Blair Woods Gonsoulin was born and raised in Assumption Parish. She graduated from Nicholls State University with a bachelors in History in 2016. She soon found her passion was in education. This is Blair's 5th year teaching at Chateau, her second year teaching first grade, and 6th year teaching. When she's not in the classroom, Blair can be found with her husband and daughter. Blair enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and going on vacation (especially to Disney.) She is very excited to work with her First grade team!

    Shannon Stringer

    Shannon Stringer was born and raised in Harahan, Louisiana. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. This is her sixth year teaching 1st grade at Chateau Estates. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, playing with her dog, working out, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite place to be besides in the classroom is on the beach. Ms. Stringer is looking forward to another great school year!

    Second Grade

    Elisabeth Grass

    Elisabeth Grass grew up in California.  She graduated from Humboldt State University in California with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography.  She lived and traveled around the world for many years as a cartographer, making maps for apps.  She married a New Orleanian and eventually settled in Metairie. While her daughter was young, she realized how much she enjoyed working with children.  She went back to school and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of New Orleans.  This will be her fifth year teaching second grade for JPSS.  She loves teaching children how to read and inspiring them to read widely.  She enjoys learning about new people, places, and things.  Her hobbies include swimming, reading, cooking, yoga, and family road trips.

    Alycia Johnson

    Alycia Johnson graduated from Delgado community college with an Associates of Science in Graphic Design. She worked in the field for 2 years before realizing that was not her path in life and upon reflection discovered her love of teaching. Alycia went back to school and completed her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies focused in psychology and sociology with the idea of being an Art teacher. After completing all of her certification requirements, she spent her first two years teaching 4th grade before making it to Chateau for 2nd grade.  Alycia moved to Louisiana in 2012 to be close to her family and attend college and has enjoyed watching her younger sisters grow up. She is an avid reader and enjoys her free time with a good book, gardening, painting, and of course preparing for her students' educational journeys.

    Wendy Hodgson

    Wendy Hodgson was born and raised on the Westbank of New Orleans, and has lived in Metairie for the past several years.  She graduated from the University of New Orleans with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.  After a few years of working in the business field, she decided that she wanted to work with children.  She decided to further her education by attending the Alternative Teacher Certification program at the University of New Orleans.  She has been a certified teacher in elementary education for the past 16 years and is very passionate about her job. Wendy has taught mainly 3rd grade in both private and public schools. Last year, she moved to second grade and is very excited to continue with the 2nd grade team at Chateau Estates School this year. She is looking forward to a great school year!

    Tiffany Vath

    Miss Tiffany is a native of Louisiana, more specifically the swamps, fishing, and hunting. She graduated from Archbishop Chapelle High School in Metairie. After graduation she continued studying education at Delgado Community College where she received an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. Presently, Tiffany is enrolled in College courses working towards a Bachelor's degree. She has always worked with children, beginning with her first job in a daycare setting. Outside of school hours, Miss Tiffany’s time is spent with her energetic five year old daughter, Remi Rae. Her interests and hobbies include crafting, designing, and all types of hunting. Miss Tiffany is excited to continue her journey here at Chateau Estates Elementary.

    Kacey Albert

    Kacey Albert is originally from Houston, Texas and moved to Louisiana after high school. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2011 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Grades 1 - 5. This will be Kacey’s 13th year teaching. Her mission is to teach to instill a love for learning in all of her students. Her wish is that her students become life-long learners. Kacey has been married to her husband, Brent, for eight years and together they have two beautiful daughters, Riley and Remy. In her spare time, she enjoys being with family and reading a good book.

    Ayleen Cabrera

    Ayleen Cabrera was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She moved to Louisiana in 2013. She graduated from Riverdale High school in 2018. Ayleen attended The University of New Orleans and received her Bachelor’s degree of Elementary Education 1-5 in 2022. This is her first year at Chateau Elementary, but she has taught 2nd-3rd during residency teaching, as well as teaching 4th and 5th. Ayleen enjoys watching movies, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to a great year at Chateau Estates School!

    Amber Crews

    Chateau Estates School Teacher of the Year 2024

    Amber Crews is a 3rd grade ELA/SS teacher. She is a proud product of Jefferson Parish Public Schools! She attended Chateau, Roosevelt, and graduated from Bonnabel High School c/o 2011. She then attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned her BS in Elementary Education, 1-5. She student taught at Chateau in 4th grade Science and Social Studies with Ms. Durant in 2016. Prior to teaching 3rd grade, Ms. Crews taught 2nd grade for 2.5 years. She is also ESL certified and couldn’t imagine teaching anything or being anywhere else! Ms. Crews has 2 children, Mia (5) and Jason (4). She enjoys shopping, getting her nails done, and relaxing with family and friends in her free time.     Heidi Guidry- Teacher Leader Fellow

    Chateau Estates School Teacher of the Year 2020

    Mrs. Guidry was born and raised in Kenner, Louisiana. She completed education coursework at both the University of New Orleans and the University of Nevada-Reno.  She graduated with honors in 2009 from the University of New Orleans, with a Bachelor's degree in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education and is also a certified teacher mentor through the Louisiana Department of Education and NIET. Mrs. Guidry currently serves on Chateau's leadership team and founded Guidry's Gardening Club (G²).  This will be her 6th year at Chateau and her 14th year of teaching.  In her spare time, Mrs. Guidry enjoys spending time with her husband, stepson, and daughter, as well as the rest of her extended family.  She considers herself a Disney aficionado, and enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling to far off places - any adventure imaginable!   She challenges her students daily, and her 3rd grade scholars will learn and live the motto, "It's kind of fun to do the impossible!" (Walt Disney).

    Sarah Bahan

    Sarah Bahan grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon. She Graduated from The University of New Orleans in 2012 with Bachelors in HIstory. Sarah realized how much she enjoyed Education and went back to The University of New Orleans to graduate with a Masters in Education. She is currently enrolled in a doctorate in administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. In Sarah's freetime she enjoys spending time with her son and husband and traveling to different places.

    Lesa Course

    Mrs. Lesa Course is a native of Miami, Florida. She recently got married in December 2020 and moved to Louisiana. She taught in Miami for 16 years in 2nd through 5th grade. This is her third year teaching in JPPSS at Chateau Estates Elementary School. She is going into her 19th year of teaching. Her passion for teaching allows her the opportunity to enhance students' creativity and help them to excel as they move forward into higher education. Mrs. Course enjoys spending time with her husband, fishing, riding bikes, walking on the lake, and eating lots of seafood. She looks forward to another awesome school year at Chateau.

    Alex Hebert

    Alex Hebert graduated from The University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Elementary Education.   He has been teaching in Jefferson Parish for six years.  His teaching philosophy aligns to the tenet that every student is capable of growth.  While this will be his first year at Chateau Estates Elementary, he hopes to make a lasting positive impact on the minds and hearts of his students.

    Fifth Grade

    Robin Bourgeois

    Robin Bourgeois has been teaching at Chateau Estates for six years. Having taught all grade levels from second to eighth, Ms. Bourgeois is really excited to return to 5th grade this year. She graduated from The University of New Orleans in 2008. Ms. B, as the kids call her, enjoys watching her son play baseball, learning TikTok dances, and making her students feel welcome.     Lauren Luby

    Lauren Luby grew up on the northshore in Madisonville.  She graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. This will be her 18th year of teaching, 5th year teaching in Jefferson Parish, and 1st year at Chateau Elementary.  She is thrilled to be joining the Chateau Elementary team teaching 5th grade math!  She lives in Metairie with her husband, Trey, and their 8 year old daughter, Sadie.  She enjoys drinking coffee, reading, and spending time at home.

    Whitney Rodriguez

    Whitney Rodriguez was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, where she currently lives. She attended St. Christopher Elementary School and Mount Carmel Academy. She lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she attended Louisiana State University. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Grades 1-5 and has her Level 2 teaching certificate. She is currently enrolled in the Master's Program at UNO for Counselor Education. She taught 3rd grade at Woodland West in Harvey, Louisiana for three years. She then taught K-5 STEM classes at Audubon Elementary. She is excited to be teaching 5th grade Science and ELA at Chateau Estates. She believes that all children can learn and strives to promote a safe, fun, engaging learning environment. She loves coffee, walking at the park, reading and spending time with her two, new baby nieces and baby nephew.

    Sixth Grade

    Brooke Braun Kinsella

    Ms. Braun is born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana who attended Archbishop Chapelle

    for High School and then played collegiate golf on a full scholarship at University of Central

    Arkansas. Ms. Braun will soon be Mrs. Kinsella, as she is getting married on October 29, 2022.

    Ms. Braun has been teaching at Chateau Estates since 2014 and thoroughly loves teaching

    Math and Science. Outside of school, Ms. Braun is a golf instructor and runs her own junior golf

    clinics. She also loves fishing, playing tennis, and beating her fiance at golf :) This is her 3rd

    year co teaching with Ms. Bourgeois, and they are the cheese to each other’s macaroni.

    Jessica Coates

    Jessica Coats was born in Maryland and shortly after made an exodus to Harvey, LA. She attended John Ehret High School and then graduated with a Bachelor’s in General Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018. This is Jessica’s first year teaching. She is looking forward to becoming a great teacher who empowers students to be lifelong learners. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, watching the latest movies in theaters, and eating foods from around the world.

    Seventh Grade

    Bridgette Bangs

    Bridgette was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. During college, she participated in a student abroad program that included student teaching in England. While in England she was able to see much of Ireland and Paris. Following her student teaching experience, she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with her bachelor's degree in elementary education and taught in Mississippi for 2.5 years. While she was in her second year of teaching, she attended William Carey University to earn her master's degree in education with a concentration in gifted education. She then applied for a position within Jefferson Parish and moved from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi to Kenner, LA. She has taught English, science, social studies, math, and gifted at the middle school level and is certified in K-6, Math 7-12, ELA 7-12, and gifted K-12.

    Stephanie Durant- Teacher Leader Fellow

    Chateau Estates School Teacher of the Year 2013

    Stephanie Durant was born in Louisiana, and has attended both Southern University and Xavier University. She taught at Audubon Elementary School for two years, and has been teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary for over ten years. Prior to teaching, Stephanie lived in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where she studied classical piano at the international music school, Engelbert Humperdinck Musikschule. While living in Germany, she experienced two history-making events: the breaking down of the Berlin wall and the explosion of Chernobyl in the Ukraine. She received a degree in General Studies at the University of Maryland European Division. Stephanie loves to travel, and has visited 3 continents, 11 countries and 21 states within the United States. Her goal is to travel to all seven continents. She also enjoys music, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Stephanie has served as Department Chair, Sally Ride Coordinator, and a mentor teacher. Stephanie is currently part of the New Leaders Program and has her Black Belt in Common Core. In addition, she has been named Chateau Elementary’s 2013 Teacher of the Year!

    Eighth Grade

    Ian Guevara

    Born on the planet of Krypton, a planet revolving around a dying red star, Ian Guevara's parents placed him on a capsule and sent him to Earth before Krypton exploded.  His capsule crashed in Louisiana where he was found by a couple in their early twenties and raised as a human.  He grew up as a normal human going to schools like Holy Cross and University of New Orleans, and all the while he harbored a love and passion for the history of the planet that adopted him and that he calls his home.  Now, Ian Guevara teaches during the day and works tirelessly at night to ensure that generations are born into an educated and just world.

    Brittany Schiro- ESL Coach

    Chateau Estates School Teacher of the Year 2014

    Brittany Schiro graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in December of 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Brittany did her student teaching at Chateau and accepted a teaching position at the school in January, after graduation. In January of 2011, she enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana State University to complete her certification in English as a Second Language. Currently, Brittany is the ESL Coach.  Since October of 2011, Brittany has been the Title I Coordinator. She is also a member of the Instructional Leadership Team and the School Improvement Plan Committee. In her free time, Brittany loves spending time with her husband and two children, visiting with family and friends, traveling, and exploring new classroom ideas on Pinterest.

    Kala Pena- ESL Coach

    Kala Pena graduated from Louisiana Christian University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Social Work. She worked as a counselor and an advocate for women before entering education in 2008. She has taught students in Pre-K through grade 11, working in both elementary schools and high schools. In 2012 she began teaching ESL in Jefferson Parish. She loves learning and supporting both teachers and students, so in 2018 she returned to studying and earned a Master's of Education from LSU-Shreveport. This year will be her 4th year as an ESL Coach. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities with her family.

    Fabiola Marrero

    Fabiola Marrero was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her bachelor's degree at the University of New Orleans and is working on her Master's degree in English as a Second Language at ULM. She has been teaching since 2020, and this is her second year as part of the Chateau Estates family. She enjoys gaming, traveling, watching movies/TV shows, and trying out new restaurants. She is so excited for a great school year!

    Ms. Santamaria was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she received her Bachelors in Science for Elementary Education with a certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education. Ms. Santamaria did her student teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary where she gained first hand the experience needed to be an effective educator. In her spare time Ms. Santamaria enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Halley. She also enjoys reading, shopping, and cooking. She is looking forward to a great year with the faculty at Chateau and her new students!

    Brett Moore

    Brett Moore grew up just outside of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He graduated from The University of Alabama, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. His wife and he moved to the New Orleans area in the summer of 2017. He received his teaching certificate at the University of Holy Cross once he moved to the area and decided he wanted to become an educator. He has taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades and worked with the Dual Language Learning program. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with his wife, a 3rd grade teacher at Metairie Academy, and his son, Adam. He has taught at Chateau for a year now and is excited to see what the new year brings.

    Robyn Perkins

    Ms. Perkins is the 5th-7th SPED teacher.  She resides in Kenner, where she was born and raised.  She attended Chateau Estates, Roosevelt, and graduated from Bonnabel High School.  She then started her professional studies where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology.  She also has her Master's degree in Business Administration and has recently earned her Master's in Social Work.  She looks forward to a great year at Chateau where it's her "home away from home"!

    Rodney Waddell

    Rodney Waddell graduated from Herzing University with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management, then obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Herzing, and a MBA in Human Resources from Herzing. Rodney is currently a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University Teachers College candidate. Rodney has worked at Greenlawn  Elementary, Adams Middle School, and most recently a Special Education Teacher at Rudolph Matas Elementary, where he also served as Aftercare Director. Rodney is honest, thoughtful, caring and loves to make people laugh. Rodney also loves the Lord and his church with a passion for children, integrity and diverse environments. Rodney is excited to bring his experience and hard work to Chateau. Rodney started as a paraprofessional, and then was promoted to be a teacher. Rodney is embarking on year 4 with Jefferson Parish.

    Angela Williams

    Angela Williams received a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans where she also earned her Bachelor of General Studies degree.  Ms. Williams is a highly qualified educator who possesses over 15 years of experience in the field of education.  As a teacher in New Orleans public and charter schools, Ms. Williams served as grade level chairperson for 3rd and 4th grades, 504 coordinator, mentor teacher to new teachers, and after school program coordinator.  She holds Louisiana certification for grades 1-8. Prior to teaching elementary school, Ms. Williams taught preschool children for five years at the University of New Orleans Children’s Center. She also served as the center’s summer camp director for a year.  Ms. Williams is a life-long learner who continues to grow professionally each year. She has successfully completed training in educational programs such as Achievement Network, Achieve 3000 blended learning program, and Evans Newton Incorporated Target Teach.  Ms. Williams has also received professional development in Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) from Pearson Education, Inc., and instructional leadership training from Leading Educators, an organization that works to develop teacher-leaders in order to increase student achievement.     Rob Norton

    A native of Metairie and graduate of East Jefferson High School, Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English and a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. After working in marketing and real estate for a number of years, Rob is excited to pursue his passion of working in education and join the staff at Chateau Estates. In his off time, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife, son, their two dogs, playing music, and watching the Saints, Pelicans, LSU, Tulane, and international soccer.

    Jill Ripple worked as a para-educator for Chateau Estates School since March 2007 before moving to PE.  She has worked in all grade levels. Jill has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeastern University. In Jill’s spare time, she likes to spend time with her husband, Ryan, cuddle with her puppy, teach dancing, cheer on the Saints, and travel.

    Coach Andrew Scherer was born and raised in Mandeville, Louisiana. He is a graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University where he received a degree in Mass Communications. After a year as a TV Reporter in Mississippi, Coach Andrew returned home to become a high school baseball coach & work on his teaching certification. Coach Andrew has taught PE for the past two years in Jefferson Parish & is excited for his first school year at Chateau. In his free time, Coach Andrew enjoys spending time with his daughter Mia & his family & friends. Coach Andrew can be found watching any & all sports, especially golf, which he loves to play. Coach Andrew is excited for his first full year at Chateau!

    Sarah Langley graduated as valedictorian from Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette, LA. She attended LSU and CSULA but returned to her hometown to complete her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Performing Arts-Theatre from UL-Lafayette, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  While working at the World War II Museum, Sarah earned her Masters Degree in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans with a 4.0 GPA. As a lover of learning, she was drawn to the world of education and earned certifications in 6-12 ELA, 6-12 Speech Communications, Algebra 1, and Educational Leadership. Sarah worked for two years as a Master Teacher and is now returning to the Library for her tenth year in education. She is known for her affinity for Harry Potter and hats, but Sarah strives to make humor, hard-work, and kindness what makes her memorable to her students and peers. Outside of work, Sarah loves to create and try new things, from woodworking and crafting to experiment in the kitchen and eating at new restaurants. She loves to travel and has recently visited Puerto Rico (where she surfed and zip lined), Iceland (where she climbed a glacier), and Ireland (where she ventured into a cave to see one of the largest stalactites in the world!) Although independence and adventure are important, nothing beats spending time with her family, especially her husband of eleven years, Lyle, and her daughters, Mazi and Rosie.

    Nicole Cook-Ficaro - Counselor

    Nicole Cook-Ficaro was born and raised in Southeastern Indiana.  She came to New Orleans in 1999 where she attended college at the University of New Orleans earning a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Psychology.  Then she went on and earned a Master’s in Counseling Education.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana.  Nicole counseled at Cabrini High School in New Orleans for the first 11 years of her career and this is her second year at Chateau Estates. Nicole and her husband Jason have twins, Bevyn and Brayson.  Outside of school Nicole has a passion for supporting children and their families who have faced a cancer diagnosis, helping those who are coping with grief from the loss of a loved one, spending time with her family and pets, and she enjoys being outdoors.

    Gil D'Aquin - Talented Art

    Gil D’Aquin graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College with a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1996. He studied fine arts at the University of New Orleans, and The New Orleans Art Institute. He has taught in the Jefferson Parish School System from 1997 till the present. He is an Itinerant Art Teacher in the Talented in Visual Arts Program. With his students, he enjoys designing and sculpting puppets,  masks,  fully formed three dimensional sculptures of animal heads and book characters using papier mache’, working in water color and acrylic paints, and producing pencil renderings of true life objects. From 1992 to 1996 he worked as a substitute teacher in Jefferson Parish Schools in order to gain teaching experience. In his spare time, he enjoys  spending time with family and friends, cabinet making, barn restoration, and furniture restoration using traditional hand tools. He has also worked as a printer, sign painter, and photographer.

    Kellen Murphy Fitzsimmons graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. She started her career teaching 1st grade at Chateau Estates School. After a few years in the classroom, she began teaching Health and Physical Education. She has been teaching in Jefferson Parish for the last 12 years, all being at Chateau Estates Schools.This is her second year teaching Adapted Physical Education for Jefferson Parish Schools.

    Ms. Irfan has always been passionate about teaching as she believes it's a profession of utmost respect. She moved to New Orleans from Katy, Texas where she was a teacher in early education and enjoyed it thoroughly. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and education from Pakistan. Today, she is a proud mother of a daughter who is a lawyer and a son who is majoring in pre-med. She is bilingual and can speak and write both Urdu and English well. She feels lucky to belong to Chateau Estates School which values diversity and hard work. She loves to learn new things from her students as their young minds are filled with innovative ideas particularly technology in today's time. As a teacher, she feels it's her responsibility to provide students with the best understanding of not only class material but also other real life challenges they eventually have to face.     Parvanah Karimifard- Pre-K Special Education

    Ms. Parvanah graduated from Melli University of Tehran with a bachelor degree in Geology. She also earned a degree in child care as well as Fitness and Nutrition. She has worked in Jefferson Parish Public Schools for 16 years. She moved to US in 1989 and speaks Farsi, Dari, Turkish, and English. She is passionate about spending time with friends and family and traveling. She has already visited Wien, Istanbul, Frankfurt, London, Rome, Mexico, and Iran. She loves working with the kids because they are building our future.

    Mary Ann has been a paraprofessional since the 2000. She has worked in first through fifth grades. She has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. She enjoys gardening and bowling on a special needs bowling team. Mary loves visiting Ghana where her sister is the director of an orthopedic center that meets the needs of many children and adults. She tries to help them as much as possible because it is very important for their education. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and husband.     Danielle is a para-educator who has been serving students at Chateau Estates Elementary School since September of 2010 and has been a Jefferson Parish Public School employee since November of 2008. She has an associate’s degree in Commercial Art. She has attended several workshops such as Conscious Discipline, Compass and Common Core, Bullying Prevention & Building Positive Relationships, to name a few. She loves hanging out with her family and friends. She loves interacting with children and helping them learn new things. Being in a child’s learning environment is especially important to her.
