    Colleen Winkler - Principal
    Mrs. Winkler's Blog
    Our principal, Colleen Winkler, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston and her Master’s degree from the University of New Orleans. She is certified in Educational Leadership at the highest level (Superintendent's certification), and has received an Educational Leadership Endorsement through the Louisiana Department of Education’s LELI program. She has 26 years of experience in the classroom teaching seventh through twelfth grades in a variety of subjects including: English Language Arts, Advanced Placement Literature, Gifted courses, International Baccelaureate courses, Virtual school, and Independent Projects. Along with National Board Certification, Colleen has many other accolades including: Jefferson Parish High School Teacher of the Year, Riverdale High School Teacher of the Year, St. Charles Parish High School Teacher of the Year, Hahnville High School Teacher of the Year, Jefferson Parish MS Principal of the Year, and Distinguished Educator for the Louisiana Department of Education. She also received the Petroleum Institute Teaching Award and the Cox Shining Stars in Education Award. She was a featured teacher on Cisco’s National Website. Mrs. Winkler edits educational books with Corwin Press and delivers professional development to other schools in the area.     Erik Kelt- Assistant Principal
    Erik Kelt graduated Cum Laude from Springfield College, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in business management and sports management. Realizing that education was his true passion, he went on to receive his Master’s degree in childhood education from Dowling College where he graduated with high honors. Erik came to New Orleans in the summer of 2008 to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, and he never left. He has served students and families as a teacher, academic dean, and assistant principal. He graduated from multiple leadership programs including Leading Educators, Emerging Leaders, New Leaders, and is currently working on his dissertation for his Doctorate degree in Leadership and Curriculum from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.  He is a level 2 certified educational leader and holds a teacher leader endorsement from the Louisiana Department of Education. He enjoys kayaking, fishing, sports, and playing with his two boys and new baby daughter. Currently in his sixth year at Chateau, Erik loves to celebrate our students when they show R.E.A.L.     Stephanie Geise - Dean
    Stephanie Geise graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. While attending the University of New Orleans, she was a member of the Kappa Delta Epsilon honor fraternity and was selected to serve as an Ambassador for UNO. Stephanie went on to receive her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. She also obtained an English as a Second Language certification from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. Stephanie is certified in Educational Leadership, Elementary Education, and English as a Second Language. Stephanie is also a certified CLASS Pre-K evaluator. She worked as a teacher in Jefferson Parish for 8 years and this is her third year as the Dean at Chateau Estates School. Stephanie and her husband live in New Orleans with their three sons Eddie, Andrew, and Ethan.     Seventh and Eighth Grade

    Sarah Downs
    Sarah Downs is originally from Tennessee, she moved to Louisiana with her husband in February of 2019. This is her second year teaching, but her first year teaching at Chateau Estates. Mrs. Downs holds both a Bachelor’s degree (2017) and a Master’s degree (2018) in Secondary Education Mathematics (6th – 12th grade) from Tennessee Technological University.     Stephanie Durant
    Chateau Estates School Teacher of the Year 2013
    Stephanie Durant was born in Louisiana, and has attended both Southern University and Xavier University. She taught at Audubon Elementary School for two years, and has been teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary for over ten years. Prior to teaching, Stephanie lived in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where she studied classical piano at the international music school, Engelbert Humperdinck Musikschule. While living in Germany, she experienced two history-making events: the breaking down of the Berlin wall and the explosion of Chernobyl in the Ukraine. She received a degree in General Studies at the University of Maryland European Division. Stephanie loves to travel, and has visited 3 continents, 11 countries and 21 states within the United States. Her goal is to travel to all seven continents. She also enjoys music, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Stephanie has served as Department Chair, Sally Ride Coordinator, and a mentor teacher. Stephanie is currently part of the New Leaders Program and has her Black Belt in Common Core. In addition, she has been named Chateau Elementary’s 2013 Teacher of the Year!     Raegan Rousselle
    Raegan Rousselle graduated from Louisiana State University. She has a Bachelors degree is in Elementary Education 1st- 8th grade all subject areas and has been teaching for 12 years. She also has been a Special Instructor with Early Steps working with children with disabilities. Raegan and her family began a Non-Profit Organization 6 years ago, named after her daughter, Kendyl’s Krusade. Kendyl’s Krusade has helped many families and their children with disabilities with medical expenses. During her free time she enjoys time with her family and says that there is never a dull moment at home. She has 5 children: 4 girls and 1 boy from ages 5 to 17 years old. She enjoys family vacations to the beach and visiting with family in Houston. Her most favorite time of the year is football season! She is a huge LSU & Saints fan and never misses a game. Raegan believes that, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” She is looking forward to a great year teaching 7th grade at Chateau Estates.     Angela Tillman
    Angela Tillman was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana.  She attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School on a full four year scholarship and graduated with honors.  She began her journey into the field of education at the University of New Orleans where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education grades 1-8.  Angela has recently increased her certification to include English Language Arts grades 6-12.  She comes to you with many years of teaching experience in upper elementary and middle grades.  Mrs. Tillman enjoys spending time with her special needs son, husband, and three dogs.  She is also a huge Saints fan!  Who Dat!  Teaching has always been her passion, and she is looking forward to a fun-filled, successful year.     Megan Clement
    Mrs. Clements graduated from the University of New Orleans in May 2016. This is her third year of teaching and first year at Chateau Elementary. Last year, she taught 8th grade English in Las Vegas, Nevada and the previous year taught 9th grade U.S. History in St. Charles Parish. Now, she's a proud Pelican! Mrs. Clements enjoys reading, learning, browsing on Pinterest, and watching Netflix. She also loves elephants and absolutely hates bugs! She's looking forward to having a great school year.     Amy Schellhaaas
    Ms.Schellhaas was born and raised in Kenner, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2010, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology: Criminology with a minor in Psychology. The year after graduating she counseled low income students with disabilities. She furthered her education in 2011 to receive her teaching credentials and is licensed to teach Pre-K through 8th grade.  Since starting in the classroom in October of 2011, Ms. Schellhaas has worked as a Special Education Assistant, taught Kindergarten, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade.     Fifth Grade

    Robin Bourgeois
    Robin Bourgeois was born in West Palm Beach, FL. She grew up in St. Charles Parish, LA where she graduated from Hahnville High School in Boutte, LA. After graduating from high school she attended UNO and earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing and Business Administration. She is seeking her certification through iTeach and will be complete in May 2020. This is her second year at Chateau Estates. She's previously worked with St. Charles Parish Public Schools. Ms. Bourgeois also enjoys spending time with her son, Luke. They travel most weekends throughout Louisiana with Luke's travel baseball team.   Outside of school Ms. Bourgeois is a huge baseball fan. Her favorite team is the Cleveland Indians, go tribe!     Kimberly Rideout
    Kimberly Rideout was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana and attended Jefferson Parish Public Schools from kindergarten until her graduation from Riverdale High. She then went on to Southeastern Louisiana University. There she graduated high honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Education 4-8 with a focus on English Language Arts and social studies. Mrs. Rideout has spent the last seven years teaching for Jefferson Parish and is excited about the productive third year at Chateau she will have. Mrs. Rideout is also a huge Saints’ fan and cannot wait for football season to start.     Whitney Rodriguez
    Whitney Rodriguez was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, where she currently lives. She attended St. Christopher Elementary School and Mount Carmel Academy. She lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana while she attended Louisiana State University. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Grades 1-5 and has her Level 2 teaching certificate. She taught 3rd grade at Woodland West in Harvey, Louisiana for three years. She then taught K-5 STEM classes at Audubon Elementary. She is excited to be teaching 5th grade Science and Social Studies at Chateau Estates. She loves coffee, walking at the park, and spending time with her two, new baby nieces.     Alexis Kedo
    Alexis Kedo is originally from outside of Chicago, and graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University in New York City.  Post-graduation, she joined the New York City Teaching Fellows program, earning a M.S. in Education from St. John's University.  She also spent a year teaching at a rural secondary school in Kenya on a Fulbright scholarship.  After completing her year in Kenya, Alexis spent some time traveling, eventually ending up in New Orleans.     Third Grade

    Amber Crews
    Ms. Crews is excited to be teaching 3rd grade ELA/SS this year with the same students she had last year in 2nd grade! She graduated from Southeastern LA University with a degree in Elementary Education (1-8) and ESL certification. This will be her 4th year at Chateau Estates. When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her children, Mia and Jason.     Heidi Guidry
    Mrs. Guidry was born and raised in Kenner, Louisiana. She graduated with honors from the University of New Orleans in December of 2009, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.   Since starting teaching in January 2010, Mrs. Guidry has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, as well as administering reading interventions to scholars in 1st-5th grades.  In her spare time, Mrs. Guidry enjoys spending time with her husband, stepson, and daughter, as well as the rest of her extended family.  She enjoys reading, fishing, taking bike rides to the lake, and swimming!  She is looking forward to a great year with her 2nd grade scholars at Chateau!     Kyle Radish
    Mrs. Radish grew up in Ohio, and moved to New Orleans in high school. Subsequently, she graduated both NOCCA and Ben Franklin high schools. Because of these experiences, she is a firm believer in the vital importance of excellent public education. She has been teaching since 2003 and has been at Chateau Estates since 2019. She has a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a Master's degree in Education in Early Childhood Education, with a concentration in Gifted Education. She attended both UNO and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), which is her homeroom college. Mrs. Radish enjoys biking with her sons and husband, scouting, and reading long novels.     Catherine Smith
    Catherine Smith graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She was born and raised in Denham Springs, but decide to move to New Orleans to be closer to family. This is her first year teaching at Chateau, and she is very excited to be teach third grade!     Kacey Albert
    Kacey Albert originally from Houston, Texas and moved to Louisiana after high school. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2011 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Grades 1 - 5. This will be Kacey’s 9th year teaching but her first year at Chateau Estates. She has been recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2017 and 2018 at her previous school. Her mission is to teach to instill a love for learning in all of her students. Her wish is that her students become life-long learners. Kacey has been married to her husband, Brent, for four years and together they have a beautiful one-year old daughter.     Leticia Guzman was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  She came to the US in 2007. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Human Environment Studies-Dietetics in 2013. She began her journey into the field of education at the University of New Orleans where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education grades 1-5. This is her first year at Chateau Estates Elementary.     Marla Southerland
    Marla Southerland graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in political science. She was born and raised in Texas but fell in love with New Orleans after visiting the city and decided to stay. This is her first year teaching at Chateau, and she is excited to embark on an amazing year of learning with the second grade Pelicans!     Blair Woods
    Blair Woods graduated from Nicholls State University in 2016 with a Bachelors in History. She previously taught 3rd and 4th grade Social Studies in her home town primary school. This is her second year of teaching. In her spare time, she can be found playing with her puppy, playing video games, or planning another trip to Disney World.     Anne Ehrhardt graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education. This is her 17th year teaching, but first at Chateau Estates.  For 12 years of her teaching career she has taught first grade.  When she is not teaching, she is at home with her husband and three children.  Enjoying time with her friends and family, reading and playing games is the way she likes to spend her time.  Anne is very excited to be a Chateau Estates Pelican!     Rita Kent
    Mrs. Kent graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Teaching has always been a calling for Mrs. Kent ever since her early childhood days when she was inspired by so many wonderful teachers. She has always had an enthusiasm for knowledge and learning. As her dear mom would say, One thing no one can take away from you is your education. Teaching children with respect, love, enthusiasm, and incorporating in each child a love for learning has and continues to be Mrs. Kent's mission for all her students. Some of Mrs. Kent's most awesome and cherished moments are in the classroom when a students says "look Mrs. Kent, I can do this, I got it !! Those words and excitement in a child's eyes and smile like a light bulb just went on are the very rewards of teaching for Mrs. Kent. I believe all students are good, smart, and have their own unique talents . I love teaching at Chateau where the magic of learning takes place for every student and the students are encouraged to be the best they can be and become life-long learners. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my dear family and friends. I have a wonderful husband, Jerry,of 37 years marriage and we have six amazing children and their wonderful spouses, and four awesome grandchildren. Everyday spent with them  is never a dull moment in my life. Eating, laughing, just spending time together with such a large family is a party in itself. We also have our dear lab, Blaze. I treat my students as if they were my own children and grandchildren. I tell my students to reach for the stars, go for it, follow your dreams,you've got this!!     Shannon Stringer
    Shannon Stringer graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. During her time at UL she student taught in a first grade and second grade classroom. This is her second year teaching first grade at Chateau Estates. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.  She is excited to be teaching first grade again and looks forward to a fun and productive school year!     Katelyn Blanke
    Katelyn Blanke graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. She graduated with the honor of Summa Cum Laude and received the Department of Curriculum and Instruction Faculty Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Education Major and the Academic Excellence Award. Katelyn completed her student teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary and has been teaching for 5 1/2 years. Katelyn enjoys watching her students learn and grow as they discover new things throughout the school year. She and her husband live in New Orleans and love their city.     Virginia Guise graduated from McNeese State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She has taught Pre-K-3 thru 5th grades for the past 20 years.     Jillian Hicks
    Jillian Hicks graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2014 with a degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching for 6 years and is also certified in Early Childhood Education. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Hicks enjoys spending time with her family, going out to eat, reading, and gardening.     Jennifer Wilson graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary for the past twenty years. Mrs. Wilson was named “Teacher of the Year” in 2007. She also has served as the PBIS Chairperson for the last thirteen years. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her husband, their five year old daughter, family and friends.  She also loves to travel and spend time at her family camp.     Mrs. Sarah was born in Lake Charles, LA, and has also lived in The Woodlands, TX, San Diego, CA, and Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated from LSU with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2011, and has enjoyed teaching since then! Her husband Chris is a native New Orleanian, and she is happy to share his love for our city. They enjoy spending time with their daughter Caroline, and playing with their dogs Millie and Jolie.     DeNeil Brown
    DeNeil Brown was born in Los Angeles California, but currently lives in Houma, LA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Family Development from American Military University. She served in the Louisiana National Guard as a military police officer and truck driver. DeNeil also works providing 1:1 therapy in the field of applied behavior analysis(ABA) to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.  She received her national credential from the BACB as a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) in 2016.Working with families and children has been a lifelong dream. This is her first year teaching Special Education Pre- Kindergarten (Autism) at Chateau Estates. In her spare time, she loves swimming, playing tennis (sort of) spending time with her husband and two daughters, Dominique and Elysia.     Gil D'Aquin - Art
    Gil D’Aquin graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College with a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1996. He studied fine arts at the University of New Orleans, and The New Orleans Art Institute. He has taught in the Jefferson Parish School System from 1997 till the present. He is an Itinerant Art Teacher in the Talented in Visual Arts Program. With his students, he enjoys designing and sculpting puppets,  masks,  fully formed three dimensional sculptures of animal heads and book characters using papier mache’, working in water color and acrylic paints, and producing pencil renderings of true life objects. From 1992 to 1996 he worked as a substitute teacher in Jefferson Parish Schools in order to gain teaching experience. In his spare time, he enjoys  spending time with family and friends, cabinet making, barn restoration, and furniture restoration using traditional hand tools.     Ashley Deeks
    Ashley Deeks was born in Mobile, Alabama and has lived in Metairie for most of her life. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Orleans in 2008. This is her third year teaching Special Education pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Teaching has always been her lifelong dream. Ashley is the chairperson for the United Way campaign. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and three dogs. She also loves the outdoors and art and crafts.     Michelle Morales
    Michelle Morales was born and raised in the New Orleans area. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from UNO in Interdisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in early child development and special education; she also has a minor in psychology. From the time she was young she always wanted to be a teacher, and in high school realized pure joy in working with special needs children. She was a para educator for 4 years, she decided to finish her Master’s degree and get certified at GCU. She has worked at Chateau Estates since 2015.     Ghazala Naseer - Special Education
    Ghazala Naseer came to United States in 2010 with more than 20 years of teaching experience plus three additional years as Principal of Middle and High schools. She has a Masters Degree in English Language and Art from Pakistan and also a Bachelors degree in Education. She has been teaching English, Social Studies, and Art to fifth through twelfth graders. She has attended dozens of workshops and seminars during her long teaching career. As principal, she arranged and conducted more than 50 training workshops for the new teachers. She was one of the board members for interviewing and recruiting the teaching staff. She has been named teacher of the year five times between 2000 and 2010. She has also been an ESL teacher for regular and Special Education students. She knows three languages; English, Urdu, and Punjabi. She can also read Arabic. Teaching and learning is in her blood as both her parents were highly educated and served in education. She feels lucky to come from this background and is happy to continue the tradition. In 2010 she came to United States permanently and now hoping to continue her journey. She feels very lucky to work in special education at Chateau Estates School. Her goal is to get a teaching certification in Special Education and serve the children for the rest of her life. She is married, and in her spare time she read books and watches movies.     Victoria Santamaria
    Ms. Santamaria was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she received her Bachelors in Science for Elementary Education with a certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education. Ms. Santamaria did her student teaching at Chateau Estates Elementary where she gained first hand the experience needed to be an effective educator. In her spare time Ms. Santamaria enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Halley. She also enjoys reading, shopping, and cooking.     Kim Thomas-Hall
    Kim Hall is an experienced Special Education Educator with a demonstrated history of working with students with disabilities. Skilled in Coaching, Educational Consulting, Lesson Planning, Educational Technology, and Instructional Design.  Kim is a strong educational services professional with a Master of Education (MEd) focused in Special Education and Elementary Education from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. With an educational career that has spanned over 20 years, Kim has assisted students with disabilities in Iberville Parish, East Baton Rouge Parish, as well as Detroit, Michigan. Born and raised in South Louisiana, Kim is a mother of two children, Nyla (23) and Byron Jr. (21). She lives in New Orleans with her husband Byron, Nyla, and Mother-in-law, Celie Hall.     Angela Williams
    Angela Williams received a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans where she also earned her Bachelor of General Studies degree.  Ms. Williams is a highly qualified educator who possesses over 15 years of experience in the field of education.  As a teacher in New Orleans public and charter schools, Ms. Williams served as grade level chairperson for 3rd and 4th grades, 504 coordinator, mentor teacher to new teachers, and after school program coordinator.  She holds Louisiana certification for grades 1-8. Prior to teaching elementary school, Ms. Williams taught preschool children for five years at the University of New Orleans Children’s Center. She also served as the center’s summer camp director for a year.  Ms. Williams is a life-long learner who continues to grow professionally each year. She has successfully completed training in educational programs such as Achievement Network, Achieve 3000 blended learning program, and Evans Newton Incorporated Target Teach.  Ms. Williams has also received professional development in Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) from Pearson Education, Inc., and instructional leadership training from Leading Educators, an organization that works to develop teacher-leaders in order to increase student achievement.     Brittany Schiro graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in December of 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Brittany did her student teaching at Chateau and accepted a teaching position at the school in January, after graduation. In January of 2011, she enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana State University to complete her certification in English as a Second Language. Currently, Brittany is the ESL Department Chair and the ESL push in teacher for kindergarten and 4thgrade.  Since October of 2011, Brittany has been the Title I and Title III Coordinator. She is also a member of the Instructional Leadership Team and the School Improvement Plan Committee.     Kala Pena is from Grant Parish, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2006. After graduating, she was a counselor and advocate for women, but soon realized that she wanted to do something else. She decided to return to school to become a certified teacher. She is now in her eleventh year of teaching. During her career as a teacher, she has taught elementary, middle school, and high school. For the last six years she has taught ESL in Jefferson Parish. This is her second year teaching at Chateau Estates. She also loves to travel. She has visited numerous countries in Latin America, as well as Spain and China.     Bambi Raja
    Mrs. Raja graduated from Loyola University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in early childhood education with an ESL add-on at UNO to further her teaching credentials. She taught 2nd grade at Chateau Estates last year and will teach 2nd grade ESL this year. She is a local Kenner resident and has also lived in Pennsylvania and Virginia.     Kellen Fitzsimmons

    Kellen Murphy Fitzsimmons attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a proud member of Phi Mu Sorority. She graduated with honors from Our Lady of Holy Cross College, with a degree in Elementary Education. She was an assistant teacher at St. Michael’s Special School in New Orleans while working on her degree. Kellen taught 1st grade at Chateau Estates School for 5 ½ years and this is her fifth year teaching Health and Physical Education at Chateau Estates.     Andrew Johnson is a native of Lake Charles. He has a bachelor's degree in Geography from LSU and an M.Ed from UNO. He is secondary social studies and P.E. certified. This is his 10th year teaching in Jefferson Parish and his first at Chateau Estates. Andrew and his wife Christina have two daughters, Mary Louise and Frances. Andrew loves cooking and LSU athletics.     Kimberly Stubbs
    Our new Health & PE teacher is Kim Stubbs and she has been teaching for 20+ years. She graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Coach Kim has been married for fifteen years to her wonderful husband Derek and they have twin boys. Peyton and Dylan are in 7th grade and enjoy all sports.  She also has a German Shepard named Mac. Their favorite family pastimes are going to Disney World, Universal Studios, the beach, and hiking in Arkansas.  She is an Arkansas native but loves living in Louisiana.  When not at school, she loves going to all of her boys’ football, basketball, baseball, and cabbage ball events. Coach Kim enjoys watching sports, especially the Saints, LSU, Pelicans, and Razorbacks.  She is looking forward to getting to know all of her students, colleagues, and having a fabulous year!     Nicole Cook-Ficaro - Counselor
    Nicole Cook-Ficaro was born and raised in Southeastern Indiana.  She came to New Orleans in 1999 where she attended college at the University of New Orleans earning a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Psychology.  Then she went on and earned a Master’s in Counseling Education.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana.  Nicole counseled at Cabrini High School in New Orleans for the first 11 years of her career and this is her second year at Chateau Estates. Nicole and her husband Jason have twins, Bevyn and Brayson.  Outside of school Nicole has a passion for supporting children and their families who have faced a cancer diagnosis, helping those who are coping with grief from the loss of a loved one, spending time with her family and pets, and she enjoys being outdoors.     Erica Gauthreaux - Library Media Specialist
    Erica Gauthreaux graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Business Administration.  She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, the Greek Leadership Honor Society - Order of Omega, and International Honor Society in the Field of Education - Kappa Delta Pi.  She has taught in various schools within the Jefferson Parish Public School System since 2004 and has served on various committees including the PBIS team, the ESL department’s Leadership Development Cohort, and has earned her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Promethean certificates. Mrs. Gauthreaux attained her English as a Second Language certification from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2009, and her Library Science certificate from Northwestern State University in 2015. Mrs. Gauthreaux is currently serving as Chateau's Technology Coordinator, Webmaster, Parent-Teacher Organization Liaison, and Educational Programs Coordinator. She is highly qualified to teach English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Mrs. Gauthreaux lives in River Ridge with her husband, two daughters, and three dogs.     Renee' Hall-Baker - Master Teacher

    KDr. Renee Hall-Baker is a three-time graduate of the University of New Orleans where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (English; 1999), a Master of Education (Language Arts; 2002), and a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration (2006).  Renee began teaching in Jefferson Parish in 1999; she spent 11 years working with students in grades 6-12 and taught Reading, English, Language Arts, and Journalism.  Renee has also worked as a Positive Behavior Support Facilitator as well as a Professional Development Resource Teacher.  Dr. Hall-Baker has been an advisor for the National Technical Honors Society and a yearbook facilitator/editor. In addition to teaching, Renee is a published poet, freelance writer, educational consultant, doctoral mentor and NETA Certified Personal Trainer.  Her passion for education and fitness is infectious!     Rachelle Louviere - Master Teacher

    KRachelle Louviere graduated Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in accounting in December 2010. However, despite her interest in business, Rachelle has always found joy in working with children and has years of job experience in a classroom setting. After working as an auditor for an accounting firm, she decided to fulfill her life-long dream of teaching. She went to the University of New Orleans to pursue her Master’s degree in early childhood education and graduated in May 2015. During her free time, Rachelle enjoys performing in and watching musical theater, travelling, painting, yoga, and spending time with her family, and friends. For Rachelle, learning has always been the gateway to an adventure, one that she is thrilled to take her students on. She believes that all children should have access to an education that is innovative, engaging, and inspiring.     Celeste Montz - Social Worker 
    Mrs. Celeste Montz is excited to be a part of the Chateau family this year as a full-time social worker. She is married with a step-daughter and a teenage son. Mrs. Montz has a degree in elementary education from Southeastern Louisiana University and taught for many years in the area. Four years ago, she decided to return to graduate school to obtain her Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. In her free time, she loves to read and spend time with her family.     Wendy Aguiluz- ESL
    Wendy Aguiluz was born in Honduras and moved to the United States when she was fourteen years old. She overcame a lot of obstacles while living here. She is an alumnus from Bass Memorial Academy. During her high school years she was on the honor roll and belonged to many clubs. When she began college she studied physical therapy but then discovered her passion was working with kids, while volunteering for Junior Achievement! This led her here to follow her dreams to become a child physiologist. This is her first year as an ESL Para-professional at Chateau Estates Elementary. In her spare time she likes to surf the internet, do Zumba, shop, and take care of her two beautiful children! She also has a side business making girl and boy clothing.     Darlene Clausing - PreK Special Education 
    Darlene Clausing attended Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) in Hammond where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She returned to school at the University of New Orleans (UNO) to attend an Alternate Certification Program in Elementary Education. Darlene is certified to teach Pre-K 3 year olds up to eighth grade students. She has been teaching in the Jefferson Parish Public School System for the last 22 years. This year she decided to become a paraprofessional so she would have less paperwork and more time to spend with the children.
    Darlene has two daughters. Jessica is the older of the two. She graduated from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette (ULL) with a degree in accounting. She has since taken and passed all of the parts of the exam to become a Certified Public Accountant and a Notary. Emilie is her younger daughter. She graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) with a degree in Engineering. Mom super proud of them both. In her spare time, Darlene loves to read books and spend time with family and friends.     Nousheen Irfan - PreK Special Education
    Ms. Irfan has always been passionate about teaching as she believes it's a profession of utmost respect. She moved to New Orleans from Katy, Texas where she was a teacher in early education and enjoyed it thoroughly. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and education from Pakistan. Today, she is a proud mother of a daughter who is a lawyer and a son who is majoring in pre-med. She is bilingual and can speak and write both Urdu and English well. She feels lucky to belong to Chateau Estates School which values diversity and hard work. She loves to learn new things from her students as their young minds are filled with innovative ideas particularly technology in today's time.     Ms. Parvanah graduated from Melli University of Tehran with a bachelor degree in Geology. She also earned a degree in child care as well as Fitness and Nutrition. She has worked in Jefferson Parish Public Schools for 16 years. She moved to US in 1989 and speaks Farsi, Dari, Turkish, and English. She is passionate about spending time with friends and family and traveling. She has already visited Wien, Istanbul, Frankfurt, London, Rome, Mexico, and Iran.     Jill Ripple has been working as a para-educator for Chateau Estates School since March 2007.  She started in pre-kindergarten special education and now works with our moderate children.     Danielle is a para-educator who has been serving students at Chateau Estates Elementary School since September of 2010 and has been a Jefferson Parish Public School employee since November of 2008. She has an associate’s degree in Commercial Art. She has attended several workshops such as Conscious Discipline, Compass and Common Core, Bullying Prevention & Building Positive Relationships, to name a few. She has also attended training in CPR and Medicine. At Chateau Estates Elementary School, Danielle serves on the Yearbook Committee.
