The "Jefferson Parish 2021-2023 Procedures and Policies for Parents and Students" is a handbook handed out by the district. Parents and students should take a moment to review this handbook and become familiar with the policies and procedures established by the district.

Thomas Jefferson Behavior Expectations

Please be familiar with the dress code policy explained in the student handbook.

Consequences for a uniform violation:
-
1st Offense: The student will correct the violation.

2nd Offense: The student will correct the violation and be issued a behavior report. Parents will be notified. The item will be taken from the student and returned at the end of the school day.

3rd Offense: The student will be issued an after school detention.

Shirts – Underclassmen – must be California blue. No other colors may be worn. The school shirt must be worn at all times.

Seniors may wear the school uniform shirt or white button down oxford shirt.

Pants – must be light gray. Sweatpants cannot be worn.

Any color shoes may be worn. They cannot be open-toe, backless, crocs, slippers or slip-ons.

Sweatshirts – they have to be a Thomas Jefferson sweatshirt or a plain black sweatshirt. NO HOODIES CAN BE WORN DURING SCHOOL HOURS. Students may wear any Thomas Jefferson sweatshirt, black sweater, black fleece jacket or a plain black sweatshirt.

A regular shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve) cannot be worn at any time over the uniform shirts.

A student will not wear a hat, cap, hair rollers, shower caps, or hooded garment to school.

IDs – IDs need to be worn at all times. If you do not have your ID, you will be sent to the office to get a temporary ID. Temporary IDs cost $1. Replacement IDs are $5 and a replacement lanyard is $2.
