Mission & Vision

  • Douglass Vision Statement

“Through powerful instruction, all students will become independent readers, writers, thinkers, problem solvers, and communicators.”

    Douglass Philosophy

The administration, faculty, and staff of Douglass Elementary School believe that our purpose is to help our students develop positively into responsible and productive citizens in the school, home, community, state, nation, and world. We are enthusiastically dedicated to the intellectual, social, emotional, aesthetic, moral, and physical needs of our students. We believe in the importance of a mastery of academic subjects, the development of a strong and positive self-image, an appreciation and respect for the individuality and rights of others, the pursuit of curiosity, and the development of qualities of self-discipline, self-motivation, and perseverance. We know this educational process is a shared responsibility of the school, home, and community.

    Douglass School Motto

    Achieving excellence without excuses!
