• The uniform is an important part of a modern high school experience. Uniforms create a welcoming environment and prevent unnecessary distraction from the educational process. Below you will find the uniform policy for Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School.

    UNIFORM POLICY FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

     The uniform will consist of the following:

    • 9th Grade:
      • Shirts: Gold polo shirt with embroidered logo.  Undershirts must be a solid white or gray shirt.
    • 10th-11th Grade:
      • Shirts: White polo with embroidered logo.  Undershirts must be a solid white or gray shirt.
    • 12th Grade:
      • Shirts: Gray polo or white oxford with embroidered logo. Undershirts must be solid white or gray shirt.
    • Pants: Khaki, uniform pants that have an inside pocket.  No low-rise, cargo, skinny pants, leggings, jeggings or jean look-alike (outside pockets) or any type of stretch pants will be allowed.  Pants legs must not be cut, frayed, rolled or have an elastic cuff.  Pants must be worn at the waist.  Skirts will not be allowed.
    • Belts: Belts must be worn with pants.  Belt buckles may not be oversized.  Belts or belt buckles may not depict weapons, drug paraphernalia, or inappropriate symbols or words.
    • Shoes: Only tennis shoes (any color) with shoe strings will be allowed.
    • Outerwear: Bonnabel Outerwear ONLY- Bonnabel Sweatshirts, Bonnabel Jackets, Bonnabel Logo Sweaters, Current Senior Sweaters for 2017 Graduates. Denim Jackets are not allowed.
      • No Hooded Garments, logos from other schools, or headwear is allowed on campus.
    • Severe Cold Weather Outerwear: Solid lined coat with no hood.
    • Bonnabel sweatshirts are available for purchase in Student Services for $10.

    THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT PERMITTED:

    • Hooded garments, hats, or caps AT ANY TIME (includes wool, baseball, and team caps).
    • Facial piercings and Large Jewelry- (large rings and earrings no larger than the size of a quarter)
    • Jean Jackets
    • Holes in the clothing
    • Hair rollers
    • Unpatriotic words or pictures on clothing
    • Clothing or accessories depicting any type of off-campus fraternities, sororities, or any other group designs or insignia
    • Clothing or accessories depicting any alcohol, drug, or cigarette related items or symbols
    • Clothing or accessories depicting violence, blood, knives, guns, skulls, etc.
    • Clothing or accessories with suggestive words or pictures
    • Political-related clothing, buttons, etc. (Includes past politicians)
    • Bandanas/handkerchiefs/scarves worn on the body or as headwear
    • Shirts worn over the uniform shirts
    • Flip flops, slip-on shoes, boots, deck shoes, Sperry, slippers

     

    Hooded Garments and/ or Unapproved Outwear will be confiscated and held for parent pick-up. 

    Parents may only pick up garments  on the Fridays listed below:

    NOTE:   Inappropriate clothing is a dress code violation. Items can be prohibited if they are viewed as disruptive to the educational process and/or viewed as putting a student in danger.

     

    PURSES AND BACKPACKS

    Only backpacks that are clear or mesh are allowed.  No solid athletic or drawstring bags are allowed on campus, they must be left in the approved designated area.  PURSES MAY NOT BE USED TO CARRY BOOKS OR NOTEBOOKS or they will be treated as a book bag and book bag rules will be enforced.  Purses should be no bigger than the size of a sheet of paper.

     

    SPORTS BAGS

     Sports bags must be brought to Student Services before reporting to 1st period.  All bags are held until dismissal.  The students can pick them up before reporting to practice.

     

    JACKETS

    Jackets must not contain any messages or pictures that involve death, drugs, weapons, sex, alcohol, political messages, religious or anti-religious, or gang affiliation.  All jackets must be solid colors and in white, gray, or black.

    Turtleneck sweaters (solid white, gray, or black only) or long sleeve shirts may be worn underthe uniform shirt ONLY.

     

    GYM CLOTHES

     Gym clothes may only be worn during the assigned gym class period.  Students will not be allowed to attend class wearing their gym clothes or ride a bus to and from school.

     

    SWEATPANTS

    Students may not wear sweatpants to school.  This includes sweatpants associated with school athletics and dress down days.

     

     

    POLIZA DE UNIFORMES PARA 2016-2017 

    CAMISAS

    8th /9th grado :  Camisetas Polo color amarillo oro, con insignia de Bonnabel/ Camisetas debajo del uniforme solo color blanco solido o gris.

    10 y 11  grado: camisetas Polo blancas con insignia de Bonnabel/ Camisetas debajo del uniforme solo color blanco solido o gris.

    12th camisetas Polo color gris o camisas blancas de botones (Oxford)  con insignia de Bonnabel. / Camisetas debajo del uniforme solo color blanco solido o gris.

    PANTALONES

    Todos los estudiantes deben vestir pantalones kaki que tengan bolsillos adentro. NO SERAN PERMITIDIOS: pantalones talle bajo (low rise), estilo cargo (con bolsas en las rodillas), , pantalones estrechos, pantalones mucho más grandes que la talla del estudiante,  leggings, estilo jeans o pantalanes de otro tono de kaki o color mostaza. Los pantalones NO deben de estar cortados, deshilachados, enrollados o con elástico en el tobillo.  Los pantalones deben de usarse a la cintura. Faldas no son permitidas.

    FAJAS

    Los pantalones deben de ponerse con fajas. Las hebillas no deben de ser grandes, o que puedan ser utilizadas como armas, para transportar droga, o con símbolos o palabras inapropiadas.

    ZAPATOS

    Solamente se permiten zapatos tenis de cualquier color y pueden tener cordones.

    ROPA DE INVIERNO

    Solo se permiten sudaderas, chaquetas con el logo de Bonnabel.  Suéteres (Solo para 12 grado). No se permite ninguna clase de chaquetas de mezclilla.  Sudaderas con gorro, suéteres o chaquetas con logos de otras escuelas. Ninguna vestimenta para la cabeza es permitida en la escuela (no gorros o gorras). Durante días de mucho frio, se permite vestimenta de invierno de color sólido, abrigos sin gorros.

    Las sudaderas de Bonnabel están a la venta en la oficina de Servicios al estudiante ( edificio AA) por $10.00

    NO SE PERMITE LO SIGUIENTE:

    • Vestimenta con capuchas, gorros de lana o gorras de equipo EN NINGUN MOMENTO (incluyendo gorros de lana, gorras de beisbol o de equipos).
    • Agujeros en el rostro, joyas demasiado grandes (anillos o aretes no más grande que el tamaño de una moneda de 0.25 centavos )
    • Chaquetas de Mezclilla (Jean Jackets)
    • Agujeros en la ropa
    • Rollos en el pelo
    • Palabras o fotos no patrióticas en la ropa
    • Ropa o accesorios que representen cualquier tipo fraternidades, organizaciones o cualquier grupo, asi sea insignias o ropa .
    • Ropas o accesorios representando alcohol, drogas, o cigarros o símbolos relacionados con estos artículos.
    • Ropas o accesorios representando violencia, sangre, cuchillos, pistolas, calaveras etc.
    • Ropas o accesorios relacionados con política. (botones, insignias, \ banderas, incluyendo políticos del pasado)
    • Pañuelos, bandanas, bufandas en el cuerpo o la cabeza.
    • Camisetas debajo del uniforme que no sean blanca o gris.
    • Sandalias, chinelas, chancletas, sandalias de meter, botas, pantuflas, zapatos descubiertos, o de tacones,  zapatos estilo, Sperry.

    Vestimenta con gorros o capuchas y/o vestimenta de invierno inapropiada serán confiscadas y solo serán entregadas a los padres al final del semestre de primavera. (Mayo 2017).

    NOTA:   Ropa inapropiada es una violación al código de vestimenta de la escuela.
    Cualquier artículo que no sea apropiado, ofensivo a la vista o que distraiga el proceso educativo, o que ponga en peligro a otros estudiantes, puede ser prohibido por la administración.
