Research shows that parental involvement in school boosts student performance and confidence. Whether you volunteer every day, meet once a month with the PTO, or attend school family functions, your presence is valuable to us. We are always looking for more volunteers. Volunteers are needed in the School Library. If you’ve volunteered in Bissonet Plaza Elementary’s Library in the past we hope we will see you here again! If you’ve never worked in a library that’s OK too! We’ll be happy to show you the ropes.

We will be using Volunteer Spot to schedule library volunteers. Please contact our school to volunteer! 

We need help with the following:

• Organizing the book cart
• Shelving books in the library
• Straightening shelves
• Assisting in processing new library materials
• Assisting with library displays
• Other duties as determined by Mrs. Dauterive
  *If this will be your first time volunteering in the Library, please email christine.smith@jppss.k12.la.us or leave a message at the school. Before coming in for the first time, you will need to speak to the Librarian.
